What is Our Spiritual Family
I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named...... Ephesians 3:14‑15
One of the early lessons we learned at ELC is what “church” really means. Instead of just Sunday morning gatherings, we view it as a spiritual family on a journey together. Under-standing this led us to realize the importance of each person and their part in the local church family. 1Corinthians 12:12-27
Next, God began to call Art Good to share what God was teaching ELC with other churches. From this a networking of relationship with their leaders and congregations began to develop into an “extended family” that we call Foundation Ministries. There is no denominational tie, but we all share the same heart posture: to be Jesus lovers, Bible believers, Holy Spirit embracers, discipleship focused, and functioning in a relationship based church structure. Our churches strive to encourage and resource one another in this mission.
The Holy Spirit next provided our Foundation Family with a link to the Salt & Light family of churches. We found this spiritual family to have a similar “spiritual DNA”. Salt & Light is an international family with relational ties in many nations around the world, and we have benefited by sharing life together with them.
We are thankful to be part of the Body of Christ- a worldwide family!
