Exhortation By: Jesse Johnston
32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him,
Megan & Jesse Johnston
Jesse was born and raised in Knox, Indiana and came to personally know God through an amazing experience at a Passion conference. Ever since then, he has had an intense passion to serve God, other people, and the church. After working in a special education classroom for some time, he felt God lead him to become a teacher and Campus Administrator at a faith-based, alternative high school in Knox called the Crossing.
After 3 years at the Crossing, Jesse felt that his calling had changed, and began working a different job so that he could focus more on leadership in the church. He is on the preaching team at ELC and has pastoral giftings in caring for and shepherding the body. Megan is originally from Plainfield, Indiana. She moved to North Judson in 2014 after going through a 2.5 year battle with drug addiction. She has since been through treatment, graduated college, and started working in Valparaiso, Indiana where she coordinates a program that provides services to individuals in recovery from substance abuse and addiction.
Jesse and Megan met in 2014 and after Megan completed treatment, began dating. They were married in July of 2017 and are very much looking forward to continuing their involvement on the leadership team at ELC. They have a passion and longing to see as many people as possible experience the beauty and grace of God. They hope to be used by Him to allow others to understand who He truly is and to serve Him with their lives.
